Roles & Responsibilities

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in B2B fintech, BaaS, payments companies, card issuance, or B2B banking platforms.
  • Deep domain expertise in B2B onboarding, compliance, identity verification, and payment flows.
  • Ability to create wireframes, user flows, and detailed process documentation that guide cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with design software (Figma, Framer), analytics platforms, automation tools, and AI assistants; actively used to accelerate work.

Requirements:

  • Own the B2B onboarding journey and client portal strategy, mapping user flows, creating wireframes and detailed specifications, and embedding regulatory requirements.
  • Design the internal operations portal with dashboards and workflows that improve efficiency; continually identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven solutions.
  • Conduct user research, analyze behavior, define success metrics, and iterate based on data to reduce friction and support tickets.
  • Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Design, Compliance, and Operations to ensure a cohesive, scalable experience across systems (onboarding, client portal, and internal operations portal).

Job description

You will own the execution of our most critical user-facing systems and the automation that powers them. This is not a typical BA role. You won't just gather requirements; you'll be a deep domain expert who understands what users really need - often better than they do themselves. You'll listen between the lines, identify pain points that users don't articulate, and design solutions that simultaneously improve their experience and eliminate manual work.


You'll work across three interconnected systems: client onboarding, the client portal, and the internal operations portal. You'll conduct user research, map workflows, design user flows, create wireframes and specifications, and identify automation opportunities. You'll dive into workflows, untangle them, and rebuild them as frictionless experiences that work for both external clients and internal teams. We're looking for a builder who can see the full picture, obsess over every detail, and know when to challenge what users ask for in favor of what they actually need.

Your role at xpate:
  • Conduct user research to understand real pain points in onboarding, portal usage, and internal operations.

  • Own the B2B onboarding journey - define and map user flows, create wireframes and detailed specifications, identify automation opportunities, and work with all teams to embed regulatory requirements seamlessly.

  • Own the client portal strategy - design workflows that reduce support tickets through self-service and automation.

  • Design the internal operations portal - dashboards, workflows, efficiency tools that make your team faster. For every workflow you design, ask: "What can be automated?".

  • Design workflows that leverage AI and automation to handle routine work.

  • Define success metrics, analyze user behavior and bottlenecks, and continuously iterate based on data.

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure all systems work together as one coherent experience.
