Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, Laravel, and WordPress, including RESTful APIs and SQL optimization.
Follow Laravel and WordPress coding standards; produce high-quality, scalable backend code and collaborate with front-end teams (HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
Work in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban), participate in prototyping, and translate business requirements into features and deliverables.
Collaborate with distributed remote teams, manage version control with Git, and contribute to cloud-based infrastructure using AWS/GCP and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.

The Role

You have post Secondary Education, preferably in a relevant field.
You have 5+ years of web application development experience.
You have 5+ years of PHP experience.
You have 5+ years of Laravel experience.
You have proficiency with Laravel Backend Coding Standards.
You have 3+ years of WordPress experience.
You have proficiency with WordPress Coding Standards, approaches, and common APIs.
You have an excellent understanding of REST best practices.
You have advanced SQL knowledge in creating, maintaining, and improving performance.
You have experience with Git and other version control systems.
You have proficiency in HTML/CSS. Experience with modern web standards required (semantic markup, HTML5, mobile web).
You have proficiency in JavaScript Development, JavaScript Libraries.
You have understanding of agile methodologies & principles (scrum, kanban, etc.).
You have understanding of prototyping.
You are Results / Quality / Process oriented.
You have demonstrated ability to effectively translate business requirements into features & functional outputs.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You have experience with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS, and GCP.
You have experience with container-based deployment using Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience with frameworks such as Angular, Vue.js, and React, is a bonus.
You have Linux server management experience with tools and processes such as PHPMyAdmin, Cron Jobs, and bash scripting.
You have experience working with remote teams is a big plus. Our team is mostly distributed with team members in over 10 countries.
You have Project Management Experience.
