Primary Responsibilities
- Mandatory 1 to 1.5 yrs Hands-on Exp with Rest Assured with Java.
- Exposure to design and develop the automation frameworks.
- Good understanding of testing concepts, tools, and methodology.
- Automating test scripts and maintaining them more from a reusability standpoint.
- Align automation with the speed of development. Make informed decisions on what, how, and when to automate.
- Selenium, Appium, and Cucumber knowledge or work experience will be added advantage.
- Create /review Test plan, test cases, test coverage & impact analysis.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Should have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work both in a team and independently, ability to plan and organize the work.
- Exposure to the overall QA life cycle of the solution and managing complex projects.
- Grey box testers rather than black-box testers, able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripts and/or user-level automated tools.
- Conduct pre-release/ post-release testing.
- Preferred tools knowledge: JIRA, Postman, MySQL, Jenkin's & Android Studio.
- Help drive the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies, always seeking to avoid defects or find them at the earliest stage possible in the SDLC lifecycle.
- Experience working with agile methodologies is preferred.
Desired Skills
- Automation using Rest Assured is mandated.
- At least 1 - 2 years of hands-on scripting (automation) experience using JAVA.
- Preferred work experience in a product-based company/startup.
- Experience in build/integration/test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Eclipse, and other IDE development tools.
- Preferred exposure to postman, git & Jira.
- Added Advantage: Knowledge and experience working with RDBMS and SQL queries.
- Awareness/work experience in Performance testing and Security testing will be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong manual testing and automation skills.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills
