Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, scale and enhance our internal and external microservices that encapsulate our platform functionality
Take a hands-on lead in platform design, development, architecture, execution and adoption
Collaborate with architects, developers for code reviews and troubleshooting
Hire, mentor and develop a world-class team of engineers, instilling and fostering a high-performance culture
Collaborate with team members and SRE team to improve system stability and observability
Engage with business leaders, product owners and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into executable solutions
Ensure our applications and processes are adapting to business changes or changes to technology
Stay abreast of latest/emerging technologies
Job Description:
Responsibilities
• Design, develop and deploy database models for application development to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability
• Perform data analysis and data modelling for operational application and analytical databases.
• Facilitate communication and documentation on major modelling and credit/fraud/marketing policy initiatives.
• Ensure an efficient infrastructure for model development, documentation, implementation, and validation.

• Experience with Data Modelling for Data Warehouses
• Logical data modelling techniques - 3NF
• Should have exposure to Data Vault Modelling techniques.
• Data Transformation and ETL - Experience of Qlik Compose, AWS Glue ideal, but if not available possibly Datastage or SSIS or similar ETL type tools
• Experience and knowledge of AWS or other Cloud platforms
• Knowledge and experience of modem software design and development methodologies & frameworks (e.g. Agile/Scrum)
• Experience on multiple full release project life cycles including Agile.
• An understanding of testing tools and unit test and integration test scripting, such as taking advantage of TDD
• Hands on knowledge of data cleansing techniques
• Demonstrates technical leadership skills
Experience
• Must have Experience in usage of data modelling tools (Erwin, Embarcadero, Qlik Compose or similar)
• Worked as a Data Modeler on one or more major projects
• Participates as a member of the development teams.
• Participates in cross-functional teams.
• Applies technical knowledge to provide maintenance solutions across one or more technology areas.
• Supports the team to develop innovative team solutions
• Participates in code reviews.
• Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.

• Ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team and with clients and vendors.
