Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Design and execute performance tests focusing on load, stress, and soak scenarios for backend/API/WebServices applications
  • Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks, and provide tuning recommendations
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter and Gatling, and utilize monitoring tools like Splunk
  • Write complex SQL queries to validate performance across multiple databases and tables

Job description

Performance Tester - 6 Month Contract - SC Clearance required


My client is seeking an experinced performance tester to join their team, working on a predominately remote basis.

Candidates must have the following skills / experience:

  • Strong performance testing experience of backend, API/WebServices applications.
  • Hands-on Performance testing experience using various performance tools such as JMeter, Gatling, etc.
  • Experience with using Apache ServiceMix.
  • Java programming experience.
  • Expertise in performance analysis and designing performance tests around load, stress, and soak testing.
  • Knowledge in identifying bottlenecks and provide tuning suggestions.
  • Experience and understanding of performance monitoring & diagnostic tools such as Splunk, physical architectural elements of complex systems.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries on multiple databases and tables.
  • Experience using PowerShell.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge or experience of cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
