Roles & Responsibilities

Broad procurement experience with a proven track record delivering or contributing to development and implementation of procurement solutions across people, policy, process and systems
Proven ability to create category strategies and lead/executing sourcing projects within the Technology category to deliver benefits across IT software, hardware, services and networks
Experience managing technology spend across IT software, hardware, services and telecoms, including contract and supplier relationship management and risk management
Strong leadership and stakeholder management with experience leading teams and coordinating with retained procurement leadership and outsourced procurement providers

Requirements:

Lead and collaborate with the retained procurement leadership team and outsourced procurement service provider to deliver commercial, contractual and risk management expertise for the Technology Services category
Develop and execute the technology category strategy and oversee sourcing projects to deliver quality, service, cost and risk benefits across software, hardware, services and networks
Manage relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, people management, and ensure effective strategy development and execution
Own the end-to-end procurement for a 130 million pound technology spend, optimizing contracts, supplier base and governance

Job description

Fantastic contract opportunity for a highly experienced procurement professional to be responsible for a 130 million pound year technology spend.

The Head of Technology Category is responsible for maximising the contribution of the Technology Services category to the firm. Leading and working together with the retained procurement leadership team and outsourced Procurement service provider to provide commercial, contractual and risk management expertise to the firm.

The Head of Technology Category will be responsible for Relationship management, People management, Strategy and Invocation and overall execution.

In particular the position requires:

Broad procurement experience with a proven track-record of successfully delivering and/or contributing to the development & implementation of procurement solutions across the spectrum of people, policy, process, systems etc.
Proven track-record of successfully creating category strategies, leading and executing sourcing projects within the Technology category to deliver quality, service risk and commercial benefits across the spectrum of IT software (purchase, development, support), hardware & infrastructure (End User Services, Server/Storage, Data Centre & Cloud), services (applications development, on & off-shore managed services, support & maintenance, integration services etc.) and Network & telecoms (voice, data, mobile, networks) etc.
