Roles & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrable experience designing, coding, testing and debugging Java 8/Java 17 based systems
  • Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM software development environment
  • Proficiency with back-end/front-end web technologies (Thymeleaf, JSP, HTML, CSS) and Spring Boot / MVC microservices
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes using Gradle or Maven, and Git or similar source control; strong RDBMS skills (data modelling, SQL scripts, stored procedures)

Requirements:

  • Design, code, test and debug Java 8/Java 17 based systems within an Agile SCRUM environment
  • Develop and maintain Spring Boot / MVC microservices and front-end components using Thymeleaf/JSP/HTML/CSS
  • Contribute technical input and drive innovative solutions to meet business requirements; collaborate with teammates and other parts of the organization
  • Assist with CI/CD processes, version control practices, and database changes including data modelling, SQL scripts and stored procedures

Job description

Java Developer - Inside IR35 - Fully Remote

My client are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their tight-knit team developing and supporting a major change project.

You will be contributing to the development of a number of different systems. You'll need a passion for cutting-edge technology and will provide technical input and innovation to ensure appropriate solutions are in place to meet business requirements. You'll also need to have an aptitude to pick up new skills quickly and work with other developers within the team and other areas of the organization.

Candidates must have:

  • Demonstrable experience designing, coding, testing, debugging Java 8 / Java 17 based systems
  • Previous work in an agile software development environment within SCRUM teams
  • Skills in back-end/front end web technologies: Thymeleaf, JSP, HTML, CSS, etc
  • Experience developing Spring Boot / MVC microservices
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Gradle / Maven
  • Familiar with Git or other source control systems, including branching, merging, etc
  • Good knowledge of RDBMS including data modelling, SQL scripts, stored procedures
