Job Summary:

Hartville is seeking an entry-level Insurance Agent (Sales Focused) who will report to the Supervisor, Sales. Agents are responsible for assisting customers by providing information about products and/or services, confidently answering questions, and ultimately helping them see the value in choosing coverage to protect their pets.

Job Location: Remote – USA

Main Responsibilities:

  • Actively contributes to solution innovation, sales efforts, and retention strategies, turning everyday service interactions into opportunities to reinforce value and secure commitment from both current and prospective clients.
  • Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals by actively seeking new business opportunities and converting leads into customers.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with potential clients by providing information about pet insurance products and services.
  • Claims Assistance: Provide support to clients in the claims process, addressing inquiries and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance sales skills and product knowledge, staying updated on industry developments.
  • Maintains understanding of federal and state regulations to include compliance.
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries within stated service level agreements.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the broader goals of the team and contribute to a high-performing, customer-focused sales environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of sales, call center, or relevant experience preferred
  • Must have and maintain Property & Casualty License, or must obtain within 45 days of hire
