Job Description Summary

The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategy, execution, and delivery of innovative B2B tax and payments experiences at Taxwell. This role is accountable for the product lifecycle, from shaping product vision and roadmap through launch and optimization, ensuring solutions meet the needs of both tax preparers and their clients (taxpayers). The Senior Product Manager defines the product roadmap based on customer insights, business goals, and technology trends, while aligning to Taxwell’s broader product strategy. They will inspire and guide a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and business partners, always starting from deep customer empathy and leveraging data-driven decision making to deliver seamless, compliant, and high-value B2B tax and payment solutions.

Position Summary

Taxwell is seeking a Senior Product Manager – B2B Tax Experience & Payments to drive innovation and execution in our business-focused tax products and integrated payment solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about simplifying complex tax and financial workflows for both tax professionals and the taxpayers they serve. This leader will define strategy, test and validate new ideas, and deliver solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction across the full tax lifecycle—preparer workflows, taxpayer experiences, and payment journeys.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Champion a customer-first approach to building intuitive, compliant, and innovative B2B tax and payment solutions that serve both preparers and taxpayers.
  • Establish and evangelize a clear product vision, strategy, and measurable objectives aligned to Taxwell’s B2B product portfolio.
  • Communicate product vision, priorities, and outcomes with clarity and impact to teams, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Lead ideation, experimentation, and delivery of experiences across the tax lifecycle, including preparer efficiency, taxpayer engagement, and payment workflows.
  • Own the product roadmap, prioritize initiatives, balance trade-offs, and ensure alignment with business and technology goals.
  • Leverage customer insights, data analytics, and competitive analysis to uncover opportunities and optimize product performance.
  • Identify and act on trends in taxation, payments, and financial services that impact B2B customers.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI, engineering, compliance, marketing, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Partner with legal, regulatory, and compliance teams to ensure solutions adhere to all requirements.
  • Serve as a thought leader in B2B tax and payments, shaping the future direction of the product portfolio.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5–7 years of product management experience in software, fintech, tax, or financial services with proven success.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills with ability to evolve strategy based on research and data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across technical, business, and compliance functions.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and design thinking practices.
  • Resourceful, high-energy, and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and execution.
  • Passion for innovation in tax, financial services, and payments.
