Job description

Account Executive — Electrical Contracting (New Business)

Remarcable | Omaha or Remote (US)

Overview

Specialty contractors deserve software built by people who understand how their businesses really run, and that’s what we’re here to do. Remarcable is a vertical SaaS platform that helps MEP contractors protect margins, manage purchasing and tools with precision, and cut waste across the field, warehouse, and back office. Customers routinely see double-digit profit improvements and dramatic time savings because our product reflects decades of lived industry experience, not Silicon Valley guesswork.

We are looking for an account executive with industry experience and a track record of success who can earn trust across the office, warehouse, and field.

What You’ll Do

You’ll own a territory and be responsible for creating and closing new business with contractors. The sales process is hands-on and credibility-driven. You’ll spend time digging into their workflows, understanding where money slips through the cracks, and showing exactly how Remarcable fixes it.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Learning how your customers actually buy, track, cost, and manage materials—and translating that into financial impact.

  • Building pipeline and relationships through targeted outreach, distributor relationships, local market research, and industry events.

  • Running straightforward, sharp discovery conversations with owners, purchasing managers, CFOs, etc.

  • Giving thorough product demos rooted in expertise.

  • Managing deals with multiple stakeholders and navigating the mix of operations, accounting, and field needs.

  • Negotiating with integrity and handing customers to CS with a clear plan for success.

  • Exceed monthly sales quotas

  • Feeding real-world field intel back into marketing and product so we keep building what contractors actually want.

Who Thrives Here

You’ll likely excel if:

  • You can consult credibly with contractors because you understand their business - job costing, purchasing, the daily grind of running projects, etc. Massive advantage if you’ve worked in the industry.

  • You’re disciplined about pipeline and run your territory like it’s your own business.

  • You adjust easily between meeting a warehouse manager at 7am and a CFO in the afternoon.

  • You’re curious, coachable, and empathetic

  • You are competitive, optimistic, and want to build a long-term career in sales

  • You are extremely motivated to win as part of a great team

  • You are savvy with technology and have experience in or using software

  • You have a track record of consistent sales success

  • You’ve worked in construction tech, MEP contracting, distribution, supply chain tech, or AP tech.

Why Remarcable

We have strong retention, real customer love, and a team with deep industry experience. The product works and customers stick around because it enables them to grow their businesses more efficiently.

If you want to sell something real to people who build the world, and you respect the craft and the grit of the industry, you’ll fit right in.

Work Requirements

• Mostly computer-based work, steady communication by phone, video, and in-person.

• Travel up to ~30% for customer visits and trade shows.

• Ability to carry up to 20 lbs of materials at events.
