Position Overview
We at ISG are seeking an experienced AI & Data Science Lead to drive the Enterprise AI governance, AI programs, Client AI initiatives requiring program management support. This role blends hands-on delivery, applied data science, AI governance, and strategic advisory, ensuring ISG AI solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience translating AI potential into production-grade solutions, while staying current with rapidly evolving AI models, platforms, and regulatory expectations. The candidate can propagate ISG IP, AI solutions and ensure they are aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Implementation
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of ISG AI and machine learning solutions from concept to production
- Translate client business problems into practical AI use cases with measurable outcomes
- Ability to create data models, QA framework, API strategy required for implementation & roll out of services
- Assess Enterprise readiness on AI Governance, effectiveness of controls and drive ISG framework
- Oversee implementation of AI solutions across domains such as:
- Document intelligence (contracts, SLAs, obligations)
- Predictive analytics and risk modeling
- Generative AI and agent-based workflows
- AI Governance Transformation
- Partner with Client Relationship, Product, Engineering, COE and Business teams to ensure AI is embedded into core workflows
- Publish insights, support RFPs and support marketing campaigns to grow brand presence.
AI Governance & Responsible AI
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate AI governance into the overall business strategy
- Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team and board of directors on the state of AI governance and compliance
- Operationalize AI governance frameworks, technology solutions including:
- Model risk management
- Bias detection and mitigation
- Explainability and transparency
- Data privacy and security
- Ensure compliance with evolving AI regulations and standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF, SOC 2, GDPR, emerging US AI regulations)
- Monitor AI Risk assessment, risk mitigation and escalation management as required
- Support refresh of any policies for model lifecycle management, monitoring, and auditability as required
Stakeholder & Delivery Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to client senior leaders on AI feasibility, risks, and ROI
- Drive cross-functional alignment between Data Science, Engineering, Legal, Security, and Compliance
- Set up KPIs such as time-to-value, adoption, and business impact and reporting mechanisms as a part of AI Governance Transformation Office
Innovation & Market Awareness
- Stay current with AI industry trends, tooling, and regulatory updates
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend adoption where they provide clear business value
- Continuously refine AI approaches based on lessons learned and external advancements
Required Skillsets
- This is a remote position based in the US
- 10-15% travel may be required
- 8+ years of experience in data science, AI, or machine learning, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience deploying AI solutions into production (not just prototypes)
- Strong understanding of:
- Machine learning and statistical modeling
- Generative AI and LLM-based solutions
- Data pipelines and MLOps practices
- Hands-on experience with AI governance, risk, and compliance
- Experience implementing AI in regulated or enterprise environments
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Exposure to domains such as procurement, contract management, risk, legal, or enterprise SaaS
- Experience with document intelligence and NLP-heavy use cases
- Knowledge of AI policy frameworks and emerging regulations

Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
