Program Manager – Digital Solutions (Agent, Broker, Customer)
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: 12 Months CTH


Job Description:
  • The Program Manager position will be focused on leading the successful planning and delivery of Client's web portals, which range from agent tools (e.g., new business submission), broker and employer tools (e.g., group administration), and policyholder self-service (e.g., claims submission).
  • The universe of portals has been branded as "Client Connect”. Combined is a Client Company that primarily sells group and individual Supplemental Accident & Health products (e.g., Accident, Disability, Critical Illness, Life) using captive agents, independent agents, brokers, and other distribution partners.
  • The Program Manager will partner with business leaders across Client's functional areas (e.g., Product, Underwriting, New Business, Claims) and sales channels (US Agency, Client Workplace Benefits, and Canada) to complete strategic planning, develop governance materials (e.g., business case, roadmap), actively manage daily implementation tasks/dependencies, and help coordinate change management (e.g., operational readiness, field readiness, stakeholder management).
  • As the Program Lead, the individual will be responsible for establishing a new governance model to manage Connect-related activities that span across business functions and IT.
  • In addition, the individual will instill best practices related to increasing product agility (speed to market), mobilizing business partners, improving business execution on projects, adopting change management practices, coordinating user acceptance testing, etc.
Key Activities:
Program Management
  • Act as the program manager for Client's Connect strategy initiatives, spanning business and technology workstreams, and own the development of executive steering committee materials
  • Lead efforts to mobilize business strategies by designing/establishing program governance structures and manage the execution of related workstreams
  • Manage critical business activities and technology implementation projects that are part of the strategic initiatives and partner with business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
  • Drive ongoing efforts of project managers to consolidate project plans and align stakeholders
  • Partner with IT and cross-functional leaders to drive improvements to governance, project delivery, and coordination of user acceptance testing
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and execute change management plans for business and technology enhancements
  • Establish infrastructure and procedures for developing/maintaining related documentation (e.g., process maps, business requirements)
  • Coordinate efforts to launch new features and rollout across distribution channels (e.g., marketing materials, training, standard operating procedures)
Strategic Planning:
  • Partner with executive leaders to define strategies, design target operating models, build business cases, develop roadmaps, and manage the execution of initiatives.
  • Help refine business goals/objectives, create future state business architectures, define/prioritize desired capabilities, and design business solutions spanning people, process, and technology.
  • Execute all aspects of an assessment from designing frameworks and leading business discovery to building high-quality executive-level content/presentations and aligning leaders.
  • Use hypothesis-based problem solving and drive decisions using data-driven, fact-based analysis.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (MBA preferred)
  • 7-10+ years of experience leading strategy and business transformation within the Insurance industry
  • 3 -5+ years of management consulting and program management experience
  • Knowledge of Insurance distribution management strategies (e.g., captive, independent, broker)
  • Understanding of group vs. individual insurance and value chain (e.g., UW, new business, claims)
  • Experience leading efforts across the Insurance product development lifecycle.
  • Proven track record leading executives and influencing others towards a common goal or vision.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to clearly articulate messages.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Highly organized, extremely goal oriented mindset, logical, thorough, and detail oriented.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Out of the box thinker who can take a step back and find alternative solutions.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
