Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, Logic Apps, SQL Managed Instance, and Key Vaults
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) templates using Terraform Cloud
  • Experience with setting up DevOps workspace and pipelines with Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Strong understanding of Azure security (Entra ID, RBAC, policies)

Requirements:

  • Design and implement automation frameworks and workflows to streamline provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes
  • Develop and maintain IaC templates using Terraform Cloud for Azure resources
  • Manage Azure infrastructure components with emphasis on security and governance (Entra ID, RBAC, policies)
  • Troubleshoot, triage, and support SRE activities; participate in incident response and operational improvements

Position: Azure Infrastructure/Platform Terraform Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL or Remote

Duration: 12 Months

Rate: DOE

US Citizens Only

Must-have

· Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Infrastructure, including Networking, Compute, Storage, Logic App, SQL MI, and KeyVaults [Other Azure Services]

· Strong 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) templates using Terraform cloud.

· Experience with setting up DevOps workspace and pipelines with ADO

· Design and implement automation frameworks and workflows to streamline provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.

· Strong understanding of Azure Security (Entra ID, RBAC, Policies)

· Strong hands-on experience in SRE, troubleshooting, and triaging

· Experience with Azure Portal, ARM, PowerShell, and CLI

Good to have

· Migration to Microsoft Azure cloud platform, utilizing Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure SQL Database

· Experience in Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for disaster recovery solutions, ensuring high availability and business continuity during migration.

· Azure Associate level certificate is highly desirable.
