Roles & Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience developing objects and code in Oracle eBusiness Suite 12.2.9 (Financials preferred).
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in implementing Oracle E-Business Suite modules: Purchasing (PO), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payables (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), Project Accounting (PA), and General Ledger (GL).
  • In-depth knowledge of payment processes (EFT, NACHA) and ability to design solutions with minimal RICE development using COTS.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes (VersionOne) and IT Service Management Systems (ServiceNow); expert in Oracle PL/SQL; knowledge of Kafka queues, APIs, and flat-file processing.

Requirements:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain production applications for Finance Payment Technology Services, supporting Oracle E-Business Suite modules (PO, AR, AP, FA, PA, GL).
  • Work in an iterative, secure coding environment per Software Delivery Framework; participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure requirements traceability and usability.
  • Provide on-call and after-hours production support, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with customers/end users to ensure needs are met.
  • Create and maintain configuration documents, diagrams, and other technical documentation; assist with design and deployment of new solutions using Oracle PL/SQL and COTS tools.

PlanIT Group is seeking a Software Developer for our Federal customer in the Eagan, MN area. The ideal candidate will have experience to support Finance & Payment Technology Services for application and system development, maintenance, and overall technical support as required. The contractor must enhance and support these production applications and create new applications as the need arises.

Description:
  • Performance hours – flexible based on needs of client management.  The supplier should be able to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • The work must be performed according to client policies based on the Software Delivery Framework and secure coding practices. 
  • US Government client requires the resources to support Finance & Payment Technology Services for application and system development, maintenance, and overall technical support as required. The contractor must enhance and support these production applications and create new applications as the need arises.
 
List of tasks to be performed:
  • Experience as a Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) in implementing modules relating to the functionality of Oracle eBusiness Suite, Financials - Purchasing(PO), Accounts Receivables (AR), Accounts Payables (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), Project Accounting (PA) and General Ledger (GL)..
  • Strong implementation background and ability to learn complex accounting processes at a level to enhance, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
  • Strong implementation background and ability to solution complex business requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment processes and methods to include EFT and NACHA requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of the modules to minimize the RICE development and use COTS functionality in designing solution.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools (preferably VersionOne) and IT Service Management Systems (preferably ServiceNow).
  • Expert in Oracle PL/SQL. 
  • Provide configuration documents, desirable.
  • Expert knowledge in Accounting, desirable.
  • Update configuration diagrams and other documentation, desirable.
  • Utilize an iterative development methodology and attend Agile ceremonies for all work done under this contract. The methodology must allow users to examine the validity and accuracy of the business requirements and to respond to the usability and performance of any new deployments or installs.
  • Show a high level of competence in the US Government client’s operating environment.
  • Acquires a thorough knowledge of the assigned systems and understands the US Government business processes that support it.
  • Provides on-call and after hours support as required to support the production systems.
  • As directed by the Software Architect, effectively and proactively work with customers/end users of application(s) to ensure needs are being met / managed in a positive manner.

Educational Requirements:
A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of service is preferred. 


Additional Provisions:
• Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident only.
• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
