Outside Sales Representative - Industrial Pumps & Equipment

Roles & Responsibilities

  • 2+ years of industrial sales experience in fluid process equipment including centrifugal pumps, rotary gear pumps, PC pumps, and chemical pumps
  • HS Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Good working knowledge of process and system hydraulics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and have working knowledge of CRM; valid driver's license

Requirements:

  • Develop and execute a sales plan with sales management and build a prospect list to capture new business
  • Conduct full-cycle prospecting, including qualification of leads, cold calls, sales presentations, proposals, quotations, and closing sales for products and services
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Master Pumps Power products, applications, features, benefits, and sales presentations
  • Utilize tools, resources, and CRM to plan and manage time, territory, and customer relationships; maintain accurate CRM data

We are seeking an entrepreneurial-minded individual who is experienced in working with industrial customers within Fluid Process applications. The ideal candidate for this role will have fluid systems knowledge and process experience with pumps, specifically Centrifugal Pumps, Rotary Gear Pumps, PC Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps and Chemical Pumps.

Essential Functions
  • Work with sales management to create a sales plan and develop a prospect list to capture new business
  • Full cycle prospecting activities including qualification of leads, cold calls, sales presentations, proposal, quotation, and execution of sales of products and services represented and/or distributed by Master Pumps & Power.
  • Development and Maintenance of a thorough working knowledge of products represented and/or distributed by Master Pumps & Power, their applications, features, benefits and sales presentation.
  • Utilization of tools, resources and CRM to plan and manage time and territory

  • Experience, Education and Skills
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline is preferred
  • 2+ Industrial Sales Experience of Fluid Process Equipment including Centrifugal pumps, Rotary Gear Pumps, PC pumps, and Chemical Pumps.
  • Good working knowledge of process and system hydraulics
  • Proven track record of successful sales growth and customer service
  • Ability to establish customer rapport, build business relationships and CLOSE sales
  • Excellent prospecting / Sales Skills and Techniques
  • Candidate must live in the geographic region or surrounding area.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and working knowledge of CRM and related technologies.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Some overnight travel may be required
