At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses.

The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling.

JOB DUTIES

  • Lead the preparation, analysis, and maintenance of detailed financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions.

  • Perform regular variance analysis and provide insights into budget versus actual results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain dynamic scenario models to assess the financial impact of various business strategies and decisions.

  • Leverage advanced Excel/Google Sheets and ChatGPT to automate and simplify complex reporting processes, ensuring higher efficiency and accuracy.

  • Act as a trusted financial partner to business units, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their financial needs and deliver actionable insights.

  • Prepare clear, concise, and insightful financial commentary to explain variances, trends, and forecasts to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Apply solid knowledge of accounting principles to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and assist in closing processes.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, & SKILLS

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a tech, robotics, or fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in advanced Google Sheets and Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate complex financial models.

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

  • "Comfort using emerging productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, scripting, workflow automation) to enhance efficiency."

  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and a solid understanding of financial statements.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • Experience with scenario modeling and financial forecasting tools, as well as ERP tools like NetSuite; experience implementing FP&A planning tools (Planful, Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive) a plus!

Additional Information

  • Travel will be required 2-4 times per year for around 4-5 business days each time.
