Overview:

Manager of Data and ML Infrastructure Duties:

The Manager of Data and ML Infrastructure is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure data and machine learning/AI infrastructure to support the company’s data science and analytics teams.

 

This role will oversee data pipelines, model deployment frameworks, and infrastructure optimization while leading and mentoring a team of Data Analytics Engineers and Machine Learning/AI Engineers to drive innovation and operational efficiency within the organization and align strategic goals to ensure the successful execution of projects. 

Pay Range: USD $130,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr. Responsibilities:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop infrastructure such as microservices to streamline and support the deployment and operationalization of machine learning/AI models.
  • Manage team to facilitate department objectives including mentoring, developing, and coaching.
  • Design and maintain data pipelines, data lakes, and ML/AI model deployment frameworks.
  • Lead the development of scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure needs and deliver solutions.
  • Automate data ingestion, transformation, and ML/AI workflow processes to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field

  • 5 years’ experience in data engineering, ML infrastructure, or similar roles.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing or leading technical teams preferred.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GCP Data Engineer, etc.) are preferred but not required.
