Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the pharmaceutical/API sector in Indonesia
  • Strong market analysis, strategic planning, and KPI management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management with ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams and logistics/regulatory functions

Requirements:

  • Define and implement operational and tactical business development goals to drive growth in the Indonesia market
  • Identify, develop, and onboard new customers across Indonesia; act as the primary point of contact for BD activities; expand relationships with existing clients
  • Conduct market and trend analysis (APIs, excipients, finished products; competitor landscape); monitor sales KPIs and prepare monthly forecasts; communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen understanding of technical and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical market and define sales strategies, including product portfolio and channels for Indonesia

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement operational and tactical business development goals to drive sustainable growth in the Indonesia market.

  • Identify and develop new potential customers across Indonesia.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all business development activities in the Indonesia market.

  • Drive new product seeding within existing customer accounts.

  • Conduct market and trend analysis, including APIs, excipients, finished products, and competitor landscape.

  • Communicate sales progress, achievements, risks, and challenges clearly to key stakeholders.

  • Monitor and manage sales KPIs and targets.

  • Prospect and onboard new customers while expanding the number of projects with existing clients.

  • Prepare and manage monthly sales forecasts.

  • Monitor customer purchase orders, ensure timely delivery, and coordinate with the logistics team to resolve any issues.

  • Lead initiatives to strengthen the companys understanding of technical and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical market, positioning Molkem as a preferred API supplier.

  • Define and execute sales strategies, including product portfolio selection and optimal sales channels for Indonesia.

  • Conduct research on potential customers, products, and market opportunities.

  • Handle all activities related to commercial operations in the assigned market.
