About the Role

Masai School, in academic collaboration with a premier institute, is hiring a Teaching Assistant (Software Development with Applied AI – Marathi) to support learners in a program focused on programming, full-stack development, and AI-powered software engineering.

The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for doubt-solving sessions, tutorials, Q&A support, assignment guidance, and capstone mentoring, ensuring learners can confidently build real-world, AI-integrated software applications.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

1. Doubt-Solving & Q&A Sessions

• Conduct weekly doubt-solving and Q&A sessions in Marathi.

• Address learner queries related to:

  • Python programming and logical thinking

  • Loops, conditionals, and problem-solving approaches

  • Core data structures and algorithms

  • Searching and sorting techniques

• Provide clear explanations focused on intuition and implementation.

2. Tutorial Sessions & Concept Reinforcement

• Conduct tutorial sessions in Marathi to reinforce faculty-led lectures.

• Support learners in understanding:

  • Web fundamentals and HTTP concepts

  • Frontend development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Backend development using FastAPI

• Help learners apply concepts through hands-on coding practice.

3. Assignment, Lab & GenAI Coding Support

• Assist learners with:

  • Programming and DSA assignments

  • Frontend interactivity and backend APIs

• Support GenAI Coding Labs, helping learners:

  • Use AI to understand algorithms and logic

  • Generate pseudocode and debug code

  • Create API documentation using AI tools

• Review submissions and provide structured feedback.

4. Backend, Data & Architecture Guidance

• Guide learners in:

  • REST API development using FastAPI

  • Data validation with Pydantic

  • Relational database design and SQL queries

  • ORM-based database integration

• Explain LLD concepts and basic backend architecture.

5. Applied AI & Capstone Project Support

• Support learners in building LLM-powered API features.

• Guide learners on:

  • LLM fundamentals and limitations

  • Prompt engineering and context design

• Mentor learners through full-stack capstone projects integrating AI features.

6. Learner Engagement & Academic Coordination

• Monitor learner progress and engagement.

• Encourage participation through regular feedback.

• Shadow faculty sessions and align academic support.

• Escalate learning challenges to cohort managers.

• Share learner insights with academic and product teams.

Candidate Requirements

Must-Have

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Software Development or Applied AI

• Strong programming skills in Python

• Knowledge of:

  • DSA fundamentals

  • Backend development & REST APIs

  • SQL and relational databases

• Exposure to AI/LLM API integration

• Prior experience in mentoring, teaching, or TA roles

• Strong instructional fluency in Marathi (spoken & written)

Good to Have

• Frontend basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and LMS platforms

• Experience with AI-assisted coding workflows

Engagement Details

• Time Commitment: 6–8 hours per week

• Mode: Fully remote

• Compensation: ₹8,000 – ₹10,000 per month
