Roles & Responsibilities

10+ years of experience in data science/machine learning with strong foundation in ML fundamentals, statistics/probability, data analysis/visualization, and SQL
Hands-on experience with generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and text-to-SQL, plus model packaging and deployment
Proficiency in Python or R for data science and experience with a broad set of models including classification/regression, forecasting, anomaly detection, market mix modeling, predictive analytics, unsupervised models, recommendation systems, NLP, and optimization
Experience in data science on AWS/Azure/GCP, and exposure to model deployment using Docker/Kubernetes; strong troubleshooting ability and willingness to mentor and lead teams

Requirements:

Write and review high-quality code and translate client business use cases and technical requirements into robust technical designs
Identify multiple solution options, select the best option that satisfies client requirements, and define guidelines for non-functional requirements during project implementation
Create and review design documents outlining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design; ensure extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, and NFRs are addressed
Develop the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize it; perform POCs and travel onsite approximately once per month

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:

Total Experience: 10+ years
Must have experience in Machine Learning Fundamentals, Data Analysis & Visualization, Statistics & Probability, SQL, Model Packaging & Deployment.
Must have hands on generative AI fundamental, RAG, text to SQL.
Should have experience in Python or R for Data Science.
Should have experience in Classification-regression, Forecasting, Anomaly detection, Market mix model, Predictive analysis, Unsupervised Models, Recommendation Systems, Natural Language processing & Optimization.
Should have experience in Data science on AWS/Azure/GCP.
Must have exposure in model deployment using docker/Kubernetes.
Strong troubleshooting skills in different disparate technologies and environments.
Should be enthusiastic about different areas of work and exploring new technologies.
Should have clarity of thought and strong communication skills to effectively pitch solutions.
Must have ability to explore and grasp new technologies.
Must be capable of mentoring team members in projects and helping them keep up with new technologies.
Should be empowering the team members to be solution providers and enable a flat environment where everyone’s point of view is considered, and feedback is encouraged.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Writing and reviewing great quality code
Understanding the client’s business use cases and technical requirements and be able to convert them into technical design which elegantly meets the requirements.
Mapping decisions with requirements and be able to translate the same to developers.
Identifying different solutions and being able to narrow down the best option that meets the client’s requirements.
Defining guidelines and benchmarks for NFR considerations during project implementation
Writing and reviewing design document explaining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design of the application for the developers
Reviewing architecture and design on various aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, NFRs, etc., and ensure that all relevant best practices are followed.
Developing and designing the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and defining technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize it.
Understanding and relating technology integration scenarios and applying these learnings in projects
Resolving issues that are raised during code/review, through exhaustive systematic analysis of the root cause, and being able to justify the decision taken.
Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements.
Should be open to travel onsite once a month.
