Roles & Responsibilities

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years in the electronics industry (manufacturing and quality)
  • Or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering or Applied Science) with at least 5 years in electronics manufacturing (including quality)
  • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of specifications for Printed Boards (e.g., IPC-6011, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, etc.)
  • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of specifications for Printed Board Assemblies or Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies (e.g., IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033, ANSI/ESD S-20.20, etc.; IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-W-5088, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Conduct audits of Printed Boards, Printed Board Assemblies, or Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
  • Travel domestically and internationally to perform audits
  • Maintain a flexible schedule with varying audit frequencies (e.g., 1–2 audits per month to weekly) and manage travel logistics
  • Engage with clients and network with other industry professionals while staying abreast of technology and developments

Job description

Overview:

This Electronics Auditor position is an excellent opportunity for recent retirees or consultants that have experience with Printed Boards, Printed Board Assemblies, or Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies

Our auditors enjoy traveling domestically and/or internationally, a flexible schedule (some auditors perform 1 or 2 audits a month, while others desire to audit every week), competitive compensation that includes a daily rate plus travel expenses, meeting new people and keeping in touch with technology and the latest developments, networking with other industry professionals.

Qualifications:

The ideal auditor candidate will possess most of the following criteria:

  • High School Diploma plus minimum of ten (10) years working experience in the electronics industry (mainly in the manufacturing field, including quality) or Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering or Applied Science and five (5) years working experience in the Electronics industry (mainly in the manufacturing field, including quality)
    Good understanding of the technologies and workable knowledge of specifications associated with Printed Boards (e.g. IPC-6011, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, etc), Printed Board Assemblies (e.g. IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033, ANSI/ESD S-20.20, etc) or Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies (e.g. IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-W-5088, etc)
