Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our team in San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science and engineering, with a focus on developing new and improved products for the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct research and development activities to improve existing products and develop new products for the construction industry

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market needs and develop innovative solutions

- Design and execute experiments to evaluate material properties and performance

- Analyze and interpret data to draw conclusions and make recommendations for product development

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in materials science and engineering

- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders

- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes for new products

- Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies

- Mentor and train junior research staff

Qualifications:

- PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a research and development role, preferably in the construction industry

- Strong knowledge of materials science and engineering principles

- Experience with materials characterization techniques, such as SEM, TEM, XRD, and DSC

- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software
