Location: Remote (Philippines)
Reporting To: Technical Lead and Project Manager of Global Cloud Operations
Team Size: 4 Cloud Engineers, 1 Technical Lead, 1 Technical Account Manager, 1 Project Manager
Overview:
Are you passionate about cloud technologies, experienced in Linux, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform? We're looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to join our collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Engineer, you will:
- Ensure reliability and security of our cloud infrastructure with Linux (Ubuntu) expertise.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications, focusing on high availability and scalability.
- Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for building, deploying, and managing cloud-based apps and infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform and Ansible.
- Implement monitoring solutions with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Promote a DevOps culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Resolve technical issues swiftly, minimizing downtime for optimal performance.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
Required Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2 years as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu).
- Solid Kubernetes experience, including cluster management.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) knowledge (GCE, GKE, GCS).
- Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
- Monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Managerial and Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Quick and effective decision-making abilities.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple incidents simultaneously.
- Strong analytical thinking.
- Experience in creating and maintaining operation manuals and documentation.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
