Current enrollment in a Masters Program relevant to Clinical Counselling is required

As a Staff Clinician Student Learner, you will become an integral part of a collaborative team within the Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP). With supervised focus on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients. You will participate in a variety of activities that will increase your knowledge and further establish your skills while qualifying for your Direct and In-Direct hour requirements.
This practicum placement provides the opportunity to work remotely. As a result, you will require a dedicated, private and confidential workspace at home with a minimum internet speed of 50 MBPS and the ability to connect the computer directly to modem or router.

What You’ll Be Doing
Dependent on the organizational unit hosting your practicum placement, your experience may include and is not limited to the following:
Deliver direct and indirect clinical services as assigned, including confidential counselling to meet the hours of the practicum as discussed with the Practicum Placement Supervisor.
Receive case assignments, establish treatment plans, complete case progress notes as well as other indirect clinical services
Adhere to professional standards and best practices
Participate in training as required
Work collaboratively with other clinical managers within EFAP
What We’re Looking For
Current enrollment in a Masters Program relevant to Clinical Counselling is required

Experience in client-facing roles
Ability to assess risk and crisis situations and apply good clinical judgment under pressure
Excellent listening skills combined with ability to convey empathy
Take responsibility for actions and decisions
Any relevant experience in crisis intervention, One-At-A-Time and solution-focused approaches will be considered an asset
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent English language skills are required Bilingualism in French and English is also an asset
