Roles & Responsibilities

  • 1-8 years of experience designing fiber optic (FTTx), HFC, EPON, and coaxial telecommunications systems.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD or similar CAD software; familiarity with ArcGIS, Bentley MicroStation, and related tools is a plus.
  • Strong English communication skills with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications; excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience designing cable TV, RF, and fiber; ability to work remotely on US-based projects; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Requirements:

  • Design site plans for OSP (Outside Plant) fiber and coaxial cable routes; interpret survey field notes and sketches to create or update designs using various software platforms.
  • Organize and maintain revisions of project drawings; generate bills of materials, splice sheets, and other supporting documentation for design.
  • Complete assigned work with high quality, accuracy, and efficiency; meet deadlines by coordinating with project managers, design engineers, and QC team.
  • Adhere to customer specifications and maintain productivity and accuracy in a high-production environment.

We are seeking remote, full-time Telecommunications Designers Level 1 with 1-8 years of experience in designing fiber optic (FTTx), HFC, EPON, and coaxial communications systems using AutoCAD or similar design software. Candidates with experience working on US-based projects and familiar with relevant standards and practices preferred. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design site plans for OSP (Outside Plant) fiber and coaxial cable routes.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications.   
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.   
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to adapt to changes in project scope and shifts in priority.   
  • Superior time management and attention to detail.   
  • Ambitious with the ability to learn new software quickly. 
  • Ability to navigate and pull data from multiple software programs at once. 
  • Prior experience designing cable TV, RF and Fiber.   
  • AutoCAD (or similar computer aided design software), ArcGIS (or similar ESRI software), Bentley v8i (or similar MicroStation software), SpatialNet, Magellan, LODE Data, GE Smallworld, and/or ArcFM experience preferred.   
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations. 

Time Requirement:

Shift(s), Day shift is Monday - Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM IST Or Monday - Friday 5:30 PM - 12:00 AM IST. 4hours per week minimum. Training hours for two weeks will be 4:30 PM - 12:30 AM IST, Monday - Friday.

Additional Information:

Pre-employment screenings, including reliable internet connection test, background check, and drug test, assessment tests required.

Pay dependent on experience.
