Virtual Assistant- Medical Scribe

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe. In this role, you will provide real-time documentation support to healthcare providers during patient encounters, ensuring accurate and comprehensive medical records.

Responsibilities:

• Attend live patient encounters remotely and accurately document all medical information provided by the healthcare provider.
• Record patient history, symptoms, physical examination findings, procedures performed, and treatment plans in real-time.
• Transcribe verbal dictation from healthcare providers and accurately enter data into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure thorough and accurate documentation of patient encounters.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
• Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness, including demographics, insurance details, and medical history.
• Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify information and ensure accurate documentation.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of basic medical concepts.
• Strong communication and listening skills to effectively capture and document medical information.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is advantageous.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
