  • Expert level SQL and PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  • Strong knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL JSON support.
  • PostGIS proficiency with understanding of core geospatial concepts.
  • Experience with time-series databases and NoSQL databases (e.g., Apache Cassandra) and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience with large, interdependent, complex datasets and data structures.
  • Provide guidance and support to application developers; assist with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning.
  • Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations; administer and tune databases.
  • Write and deploy SQL patches and upgrade application schema and data.

Job Description
 Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with PostgreSQL
* Expert Level SQL, PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
* Knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL support for JSON & Good Grasp of ETL concepts
* PostGIS proficiency and grasp of core geospatial concepts
* Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. Apache Cassandra) and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL
* Experience working with time series databases
* Experience with message queuing, full text indexing, and other other high performance data concepts. Responsibilities
* Demonstrable experience working with huge, interdependent, complex datasets and data structures.
* Provide guidance and support to Application Developers
* Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
* Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations
* Experience in administering, managing and tuning databases
* Write and deploy SQL patches
* Upgrade and improve application schema and data upgrades
