Roles & Responsibilities

  • Proven experience as a Lead Data Platform Engineer or similar, defining technical vision and governance for Azure-based data platforms
  • Strong expertise with Azure data services including Fabric, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks; experience with lakehouse architecture
  • Experience in cross-project technical management, resource planning, quality and cost governance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including pre-sales and presenting to C-level stakeholders

As Lead Data Platform Engineer, you define the technical vision and strategy for data-driven platforms on Azure. You coordinate multiple projects, develop reference architectures, and ensure governance, compliance, and sustainability. With your expertise, you help ensure that our solutions provide the best foundation for AI and analytics initiatives.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of the lakehouse strategy: Defining standards, roadmaps, and best practices for Fabric, Delta Lake, mirroring, and Unity Catalog

  • Cross-project technical management: Harmonizing architectures, managing resources, monitoring quality standards and costs

  • Evaluating innovative Azure features (LakeFlow, AI-powered pipeline designers, Fabric integrations) for productive use

  • Conducting risk and compliance assessments; responsibility for data protection, security, and governance

  • Leading and coaching teams; building a learning-oriented culture

  • Active participation in pre-sales and strategic consulting; presenting solutions to C-level stakeholders
