Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in business (nursing favored); clinical experience preferred
  • Advanced certification in supply chain, finance, and/or healthcare
  • Specific category market knowledge of medical/surgical supplies, capital/non-capital equipment, and services
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, negotiating, contracting, business law, cost containment, and expense management activities

Requirements:

  • Lead system-wide contracting of supplies, equipment, materials, services and maintenance, including procurement, contracting and purchasing functions, with a focus on driving savings and cost avoidance by directing procurement to contracted products and services
  • Provide high quality, cost-effective service with emphasis on customer service; achieve performance standards, portfolio management, and collaboration with leadership and system departments to achieve organizational mission
  • Administer continuous process improvement, benchmarking, performance measurement, and reporting
  • Identify and review new and alternative product selections, source products within the vendor community, monitor vendor performance and relationships, and negotiate contracts (including GPO, IDN, and hospital-specific contracts) within their service line

Baptist Health is looking for a Contract Manager to join their team. This is a remote work position for candidates who reside in KY or IN

The Clinical Contract Manager reports to the Director of Contracting. This position is responsible for leading system wide contracting of supplies, equipment, material, services and maintenance, including extensive procurement, contracting, and purchasing functions, with the goal of driving significant savings or cost avoidance by pointing procurement towards our contracted products, equipment and services. The manager is responsible for providing high quality, efficient, and cost-effective service to the organization with an emphasis on customer service. Achieving standards of performance, portfolio management and collaboration with leadership as well as system departments in order to achieve the mission of the organization. The position will also be responsible for administering continuous process improvement, benchmarking, performance measurement, and reporting. Responsible for assisting in the identification and review of new and alternative product selections, sourcing products within the vendor community, monitor vendor performance, and business relationships. Negotiates contracts, including GPO, IDN and hospital specific contracts within their service line.
