Remote Employment Litigation Counsel

A nationally recognized labor and employment law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Litigation Counsel to join its fully remote team. This is a unique opportunity for attorneys who enjoy managing substantive legal matters with less emphasis on in-person litigation and business development. You’ll handle a wide range of employment law cases while working collaboratively with partners and colleagues across the firm. This position is ideal for a proactive, self-driven attorney seeking flexibility, meaningful work, and a sustainable workload with reduced billable hour requirements.

Employment Litigation Counsel Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative charges, demand letters, and employment litigation for firm clients, including those with EPLI
  • Focus on the tactical aspects of cases with limited in-person hearings, depositions, or trials
  • Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings, prepare persuasive motions, and handle depositions
  • Collaborate with multiple partners and teams on diverse and complex employment law matters
  • Litigate restrictive covenant and trade secret matters, including motions for injunctive relief and expedited discovery
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on day-to-day employment issues and compliance strategies

Employment Litigation Counsel Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • Must have CA, AZ, or WA bar license
  • Active state bar admission
  • 5–7 years of employment law and litigation experience
  • Strong experience handling restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation, including injunctive relief and expedited discovery
  • Comfortable managing cases independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with computer forensics, e-discovery, and data privacy issues is a plus
  • Prior law firm experience is a plus
  • Experience handling cases involving EPLI is preferred
  • Bar admission in California is highly preferred
