Role: The Functional Developer reports to the Manager, Functional Development and works closely with a diverse 
team consisting of a Project Manager, Business Analysts, a Team Leader, Developers and QAS. 

Your Day with Equisoft: 

• Configure business processes based on defined business requirements 
• Configure product features (such as calculations) based on product specifications 
• Load product rates and define product parameters 
• Configure access and security roles 
• Use OIPA built-in functionality where possible to meet business requirements 
• Work with the technical team to ensure integration points are supported through configuration 
• Maintain and grow insurance industry and technical knowledge competencies 

Requirements: 

Technical 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 3 years of relevant 
experience 
• Programming experience; specifically, in procedural programming 
• Strong understanding of SQL and general database concepts (query building and optimization) 
• Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish 
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Soft skills 

• Strong sense of organization and prioritizing 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information 
• Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment 
• Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline 

Nice to Haves: 

• Experience with Insurance Policy Administration is a strong asset
