Are you a recent graduate in Accountancy and ready to launch your career? At Jan De Nul, we offer a unique trajectory where you make an immediate impact from day one.

You’ll begin as a Project Accountant or Project Cost Controller, working hands-on with the financial follow-up of our civil engineering projects in Wallonia. After 1 to 2 years, you’ll have the opportunity to grow into an international role as a Finance & Administrative Manager Site, where you’ll be responsible for the financial management of large-scale projects around the world.

Are you looking for a career filled with challenges, international exposure, and continuous growth?
Apply now and take your first step toward a global financial future at Jan De Nul!

What you’ll do:

As Cost Controller, you are responsible for the analytical cost monitoring and budget control of your assigned projects within civil and environmental works. You prepare reports with the aim of safeguarding the financial and operational objectives of the project.
Your main duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparation of budget control and financial reporting of the assigned sites. You compile the forecast and update the order book.
  • You are responsible for the follow-up of all costs and revenues of the assigned project and make reports of the results.
  • You are responsible for the correctness of the figures on a monthly basis and adjust where necessary.
  • You report at regular intervals and in a structured and objective manner to the management / board of directors so that timely adjustments can be made to achieve the financial and strategic objectives.
  • You offer project and site managers insight into the (current and future) financial results of the project/department and provide support when problems of a financial nature arise.
  • You stay informed and keep your knowledge up-to-date regarding the evolutions and developments in the field of controlling and you think along with the team to take controlling to a higher level.

You will be employed from our sites in Wallonia and can count on an attractive salary and benefits package.

What do you need?

You hold a master's degree in an economic field (Applied Economics, Commercial Engineering or Commercial Science) or a Bachelor of Accountancy. School leavers are welcome to apply. Relevant work experience in controlling, accounting or an audit environment is an asset, but not a must. Experience in the civil sector is a plus.

You are analytical and communicate in a clear and structured manner. You work accurately and process-oriented. You are part of (a) project team(s) but can equally well work independently. You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English.

In this position you will start on sites in Belgium. After a certain period of time there is a possibility to grow from this position to a role abroad.
