Job description

About the role:

Jan De Nul Group is known for its ground-breaking projects literally all over the world that often capture the imagination. This ranges from building new ports and creating – land extensions to realising complex infrastructural works and tackling any kind of environmental contamination. A world in change in which our Jan De Nul employees want to do their bit in an innovative and sustainable way!

At Jan De Nul we believe safety is not a coincidence, but the result of a strong culture. Whether it's building wind farms at sea, constructing crossroads in Belgium or extending ports worldwide - each colleague deserves the same high safety standards. To further promote and embed that culture we are looking for an enthusiastic Site Coordinator who wants to help to make a difference in our S.A.F.E. program.

What you’ll do:

As a S.A.F.E. Site Coordinator you are the crucial link within our safety culture programme. You work closely with colleagues from different divisions and support them in rolling out initiatives having a lasting impact:

  • You play an active role in spreading and reinforcing our safety culture. Within the S.A.F.E. program you closely work with colleagues from several departments and various locations.
  • You are at the base of the program and help it shape further where needed. You coordinate the implementation on sites and support employees to integrate safety naturally and consciously in their daily activities.
  • You enthusiastically give workshops, onboarding sessions and trainings motivating employees to actively take part in a stronger safety culture. You are not only standing in front of the group, but also visit sites where you approach people, observe and think along to come up with tangible improvement actions.
  • You act as a point of contact for the "early believers" within the S.A.F.E. program and coach them. Together with them you work on a culture that makes safety visible, discussable and self-evident.

What do you need to have?

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree, with a strong passion for safety.
  • You have strong communication skills, know how to inspire groups and don't fear speaking up to people and groups.
  • You feel comfortable on sites, possess a hands-on mentality and think solution oriented.
  • You know how to work independently and have strong organisational skills.
  • You are willing to be present in our offices and on our sites on a regular basis.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is a must; other languages are a plus.

Do you dare to take the lead in creating a strong safety culture? Apply now and help shape a safe working environment for everybody!
