Freelance Translator with Arabic

LocalEyes is recruiting freelance talents to be part of its global and growing community of freelancers.

We are looking for Freelance translators with Arabic willing to provide translation and localization services in the Marketing and IT sectors. For this role, you will be working as part of a dynamic team and in an international environment. Specific responsibilities include marketing and IT translations, linguistic review and QA, checking of terminology consistency through the management of TMs, glossaries and style guides to guarantee the quality of deliverables.

Field of expertise: Marketing, IT, Documentation, Transcreation, Computer. This project is ongoing with a start date to be determined (approximately 1 week advanced notice will be given before the first start date).

Location: Remote

Schedule: This work is based on project needs. Hours can therefore vary and flexibility with a changing schedule is very important. There might be full days of work in a row several times per year.

Main requirements:

• Native in Arabic with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation or equivalent experience

• IT skilled with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools

• Preferred experience as a translator specialized in translation and proofreading of the required field (marketing and IT)

• Editorial and/or journalistic skills and up-to-date with language and terminology trends

• Excellent written and spoken English to truly understand the meaning and translate as if it were originally written in target language

• Well familiar with US American culture and pop culture in order to recognise the author's play on words or visual references and able to adequately localize into target language

• Obsessed by the detail, quality-driven and has a passion for languages

• Understanding and attitude to work within a confidential environment

• Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with multiple changes in project priorities and tight deadlines

• Available to travel as the business calls

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Good availability, potentially at least 4-6 hours per day and quick response times
