Job description

Role Overview:

As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for testing web-based applications across the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify bugs, ensure feature quality, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices

Key Responsibilities:

Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases
Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT
Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools such as Jira
Review product requirements and technical documentation to ensure test coverage
Work closely with developers to replicate and troubleshoot reported issues
Use browser developer tools to inspect, debug, and validate front-end behaviors
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software releases
Maintain and enhance test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports
Provide feedback to improve usability, performance, and overall product quality

Requirements

Technical Skills:

Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing of web-based applications
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Ability to read and understand PHP code
Familiarity with MariaDB/MySQL databases and writing simple SQL queries
Proficiency with browser developer tools for testing and debugging
Experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira
Exposure to test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or similar
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus
