Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Locum Remote Adult Triage Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. This remote role will be primarily focused on managing an adult acquired caseload, with a particular emphasis on dysphagia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting triage clinics and efficiently managing new referrals.

What your responsibilities will be for this Speech and Language Therapy role?

In this role, you will be responsible for performing triage clinics remotely, which involves contacting all new referrals to assess their needs. You will prioritise cases based on urgency, decide on the appropriateness of referrals, and provide signposting to appropriate services where necessary. Your role will include managing a caseload predominantly consisting of adult clients with dysphagia and other acquired communication disorders. Effective communication skills are essential for liaising with clients and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate triage decisions. You will need to demonstrate sound clinical judgement in evaluating referrals and providing appropriate recommendations or interventions.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
• Experience working with adult acquired cases, particularly in dysphagia
• Strong triage and assessment skills
• Proficient in remote working and communication
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
