Tech Lead/Product Manager for an eLearning Cloud IDE

Job purpose

We want to make programming more accessible for students. In order to do so, we are on a mission to create the best online coding workspace, in the browser, targeting eLearning.

We are hiring various position with expertise on in browser IDEs, automated dev environments, remote development, or virtual coding labs. We need to provide solutions for sandboxing, distributed systems, scheduling and more to develop the next generation Cloud IDE for Education.

You will be responsible for an infrastructure that runs hundreds of coding environments. You must be comfortable going outside your expertise to ship end-to-end features. As this is a leadership position, your role will be that of removing roadblocks, give directions to the team, and doing all possible effort to guarantee high quality results.

Job duties and responsibilities

You will be helping to build cutting-edge development environment for students. Accordingly, to your expertise or interest, you will be required to do some of the following:

Overall:

• Lead and grow an international team of passionate engineers.
• Prioritize work of engineers.
• Gather requirements and produce specifications.
• Communicate with various stakeholders, technical and not.
• Reporting on the status of the project.
• Ensure project deliverables are met with high quality.
• Self-directed and comfortable working autonomously.
• Passion for automation.

Requirements

Some of:

• Experience with complex infrastructure.
• Experience with orchestration services.
• Experience leading a highly technical team.
• A sense for product and HMI.
• Experience in security.
• Excellent communicator.
• Past experience as engineer (Developer, DevOps, System Architect)
• Experience leading projects with high scalable architectures
• Willingly to work with a hourly based contract
