Hiring Position: Director of Data

Working Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Working Condition: 90 -100% Remote

Our client is a pioneer in online home and living marketplace. Their aim is to simplify both building and providing the end-consumer with a wide range of choices and better deals, and assisting suppliers to unleash their potential with in-depth market insights.

Mission

The mission for this role is to lead and manage the Data Infrastructure roadmap and overall Data Technology vision, drive innovation, ensure execution against plan, hire the best Tech talent while maintaining alignment and collaboration in a complex environment across multiple geographies. This role will report to the Chief Product Officer.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own and accountable for the data infrastructure vision, mission and roadmap while championing innovation
• Develop data aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business
• Consider potential technology acquisition from constant evaluation of emerging and competitive technologies
• Help stakeholders understand and use information profitably
• Coach and build a high performing team
• Lead up data engineering, data analytics and data science team

Requirements & Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or above in Computer Science, Statistics or related field
• Proven success in helping companies scale

• Excellence in people management skills and ability to build high performance teams
• Experience data pipelining for general consumption and machine learning purposes
• Experience developing data warehouse, data marts, streamlining data usage for multiple stakeholders
• Experience in BI/AI tools (i.e. R, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
• 10+ years technical experience, with significant involvement in product management, developing, implementing and supporting scalability of data infrastructure
• Exceptional speaking and written communication skills in English and Thai
