Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote)

Stalwart Themius is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer for one of our clients who specialize in delivering world-class Digital Product Engineering, Data Management and Analytics, and Staffing Solutions services to Fortune companies, SMBs, ISVs, and fast-growing startups.

Job Summary:

As DevOps Senior Engineer, you will use your experience and hands-on approach with next-generation technologies to contribute to a team that performs custom application development work utilizing hybrid environment and Azure cloud-native features. You will also coordinate multiple application CI/CD pipelines across the enterprise portfolio and help with developing, implementing, and administering DevOps processes, to ensure successful and high-quality deployments that align with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create scripts and leverage software tools to explore new features and provide new customer capabilities
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
• Create documentation around best practices and common issues for system configuration and operation
• Consult with the Infrastructure team to uphold access control, data integrity and file system security for the computer/data center environment
• After-hours and on-call work is required as part of the release cycle
• Implementing and managing application development and deployment pipelines
• Implements quality control and review systems throughout the deployment processes
• Collaborate with technology leadership to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments
• Oversight and maturation of DevOps processes
• Provide guidance to help project teams manage and deploy releases in a fast-paced Agile environment
• Contribute to defining the strategic direction for DevOps and Release processes to focus on automating delivery model
• Creates and monitors DevOps and Release Management metrics

Technical Skills Required:

• PowerShell/AZCLI Scripting (5+ years)
• Infrastructure as Code for Azure Arm Templates and Azure Bicep
• Azure DevOps Server (On-Prem) and Azure DevOps Services (Cloud)
• Good understanding of Azure Resources (Azure App Services, Storage, Databases, Logging, etc)
• GIT (3+ years)
• Good understanding and skills with programming languages i.e., C#, YAML, PowerShell/AZCLI scripting, JavaScript, and Python
• Good understanding of Microsoft tools and technologies
• Octopus Deploy
• Microsoft Visual Studio
• Knowledge of Databases and deployments
• Deployment Automation tools (a plus)
