Lead Data Scientist (AI/ML/NLP)

Our client is in search of a talented Lead Data Scientist to play a pivotal role in reshaping their approach to data-driven decision-making and innovation. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge data science solutions using machine learning and artificial intelligence. Your contributions will drive enterprise-wide innovation, enhance risk management, and improve overall financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied mathematics, or related field.
• PhD with 6+ years of experience or Master's degree with 8+ years of experience, preferred.
• 7+ years of hands-on ML modeling/development experience.
• Extensive experience in deep learning models including Large Language Models (LLM) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Hands-on experience with GPU, distributed computing, and applying parallelism to ML solutions.
• Strong programming skills in Python including PyTorch and/or Tensorflow.
• Solid background in algorithms and a range of ML models.
• Experience leading teams of four or more Data Scientists.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and other disciplines at both leadership and hands-on levels.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with superb attention to detail.
• Proven leadership in providing technical guidance and mentoring to data scientists, with strong management skills to ensure enterprise success.

Locations: Northeastern USA - Hybrid/Remote (2-3 days per/week)
