Mobile Application Developer

Our Client is a leading private higher education institution in Malaysia. As part of their growth plans, they are seeking to hire dedicated, and experienced Mobile Application Developer to be part of their team and to be responsible for analysis, data modelling, design & planning for programming, testing and documenting of mobile applications (iOS and Android) according to the technical specifications provided.

Responsibilities:

• To Conduct a complete analysis of current/new mobile applications system, to identify the level of satisfaction of users, to identify strengths and weaknesses, to provide solutions for problems and to
  continually seek to improve existing system.
• Collaborating with users and business analysts to conduct user requirement study. Translate  business process and business requirement into a usable application system design that meets user needs and expectation.
• Analyse, plan, design, develop and implement mobile applications systems that satisfy business requirements or change requests.
• Responsible for estimating work content and achieving planned timelines.
• Apply UI/UX best practices, concepts, guidelines and principles for mobile applications development.
• Ensure thorough documentation of for all mobile applications system developed, including project documentation, user requirements, technical specifications, data models, data flows, in-code comments, test plans, test scripts, database structures, technical manuals, and user manuals.
• Provide post-development/deployment consultation, second & third level/training support on in-house developed mobile applications systems/customizations; also conduct post-implementation reviews and recommendations for all applications patches, software enhancements/fixes, mobile/API/web securities and services load/performance on developed application systems.
  
• Handle mobile applications publication and management on available channels such as Apps Store, Play Store and other relevant online stores or publication and distribution channel.
• Responsible to maintain, monitor and conduct current mobile application databases security, integrity, and performance periodically.
• Administering and maintaining development, test, and production environments of mobile application servers (Web, App and DB).
  Participate in project activities and provide technical expertise on mobile technologies.
• Perform ad-hoc research and development activities as instructed by CIO/COO.
• Constantly be updated to latest mobile technologies and continuously performing R&D activities.
• Perform any other duties as assigned and/or needed
  

Key Requirements:

• Must possess at least a Bachelors Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• 3-6 years related experience in iOS and Android mobile application customization and development
• Hands on programming experience in Android Studio, Xcode, PHP, Objective C, Java, Swift, and MySQL
• Create iOS Apps on Windows with Cross-Platform Tools
• Strong web programming skills such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, Json and XML/XSLT
• Basic knowledge on mobile internet technologies including GPRS, 3G, HTTP, HTTPS High enthusiasm in mobile technology development
• Good understanding on mobile device limitation and be able to design software that fits within these constraints
• Knowledge in object-oriented programming and software design
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
  
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people verbally and written
• Self-motivated and capable of meeting tight datelines with minimum supervision
• Ability to multi-task on various projects
• Creative thinking & innovation knows when a new approach may be required; forward thinking in the potential use of future mobile technology
• Communicating effectively discusses and presents ideas logically, clearly using facts and appropriate supporting materials

Remunerations & Benefits:

• Min Basic Salary RM8,000 to RM9,000
• Those with direct industry experience with higher salary bracket will be considered
