Job description

About the Position:

Associated Supervisor: Head of People and Operations

Location: Remote, European locations preferred

We are seeking a passionate, well-organized, and energetic volunteer to join our international team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our team’s future by onboarding new talent and weaving them into our team’s spirit and culture. You will support recruiting efforts across both technical and operational roles, guide new members through their first weeks and bring your own flair to strengthening connections between volunteer members - especially through fun and meaningful cultural activities that keep us united no matter where we are in the world!

Expectations:

  • Strong communication and intercultural skills for collaboration with internal teams and new members

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Diligence and timeliness in processing new applications and supporting the onboarding process

  • Creativity in fostering team spirit and organizing cultural activities

  • Willingness to learn from and connect with a bright, international and diverse team

  • Availability to commit 15 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment process by helping identify and engage potential candidates for technical and operational roles

  • Coordinate and facilitate smooth onboarding experiences for new team members

  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact during new members’ first weeks

  • Coordinate monthly cultural onboarding sessions to introduce new members to Team Tumbleweed’s culture and history

  • Foster team culture by organizing virtual (or in-person) cultural and social activities

  • Liaise with team leads to understand onboarding needs and culture-building opportunities

  • Help maintain and improve internal documentation related to onboarding and team culture

  • Be a positive, approachable presence in the team, someone people feel comfortable turning to
