Our client is a specialised consultancy delivering high-impact digital solutions within the mining and resources sector. With an established presence in major enterprise environments, they are expanding operations into Johannesburg to support a growing portfolio. This role is a critical seed position supporting both current and new workstreams during a strategic transition period.

The Role: IT Support Engineer SAP Ariba / SAP MM

This position exists to provide expert-level support across procurement and supply chain systems, specifically SAP Ariba and SAP MM. You'll be responsible for ensuring seamless system integration, resolving transactional issues, and supporting daily operations during a high-impact transitional phase. The role will directly influence operational continuity and technology alignment across mining supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in SAP MM and Ariba support
• Support Ariba Buying solution and understand Ariba network functionalities
• Troubleshoot SAP-Ariba integration issues (including CIG monitoring)
• Investigate and resolve document transmission failures in 2-way and 3-way matching scenarios
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline procurement and automation workflows
• Provide hands-on support during platform transitions and implementations
• Ensure technical compliance and continuous improvement in business processes
• Escalate unresolved technical issues and collaborate with global teams

About You

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM and SAP Ariba
• Solid understanding of supply chain and procurement business processes
• Experience with SAP Ariba Commerce Automation and integration touchpoints
• Able to troubleshoot SAP-Ariba failed transmissions and matching logic
• Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently in a remote environment
• Comfortable working UK hours and communicating with global stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
