Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

The Opportunity:

Are you a strategic financial leader with a passion for driving business growth? We're seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to join the CNET Group at Ziff Davis.

In this role, you'll be a key player in shaping our data-driven culture, partnering with leaders across the globe to solve critical business challenges and improve financial performance. You'll move beyond just reporting numbers to provide key insights that influence strategic decisions and help our business thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Strategic Financial Planning: Drive financial planning, analysis, and forecasting for the Technology Business Unit, collaborating with B2B Spiceworks and CNET Group teams worldwide.
• Be a Trusted Business Partner: Build strong relationships with senior executives and functional leaders, providing financial guidance on budgets, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
• Improve Business Performance: Monitor financial progress against company goals, developing recommendations for investments and cost efficiencies.
• Develop Key Metrics: Own the financial models and establish critical KPIs and unit economics to drive visibility and improve organizational performance.
• Foster a Data-Driven Culture: Partner with our Business Intelligence team to deliver key data and insights that help leaders make better decisions.
• Lead Global Reporting: Take the lead on our monthly global financial reporting efforts.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and take on new responsibilities to improve processes and enhance business performance.

Job Qualifications:

• You have 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance at a global company.
• You're an expert in strategic planning and financial modeling, with strong Excel skills.
• You have a Bachelor's degree (an MBA is a plus).
• You are a collaborative self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a keen eye for detail.
• You have excellent writing and presentation skills, with a track record of communicating complex financial information clearly.
• You thrive on solving complex problems and have a flexible, adaptable approach.
• You have experience with Oracle EPM, including SmartView and HSGetValue (a plus).
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, Looker, and Google Workspace is a plus.
• Experience in the advertising, media, or technology industries is a plus.
• You have a good understanding of US GAAP Accounting and Finance principles.

Compensation Range 

Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base salary compensation for this role is $155,000 to $165,000. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
