Overview

The Product Director plays a crucial leadership role overseeing the strategic direction, planning, and execution of product development initiatives to drive innovation and growth within the organization. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams, shaping product roadmaps, and delivering high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive product development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Conduct market research and gather customer insights to inform product development and positioning.
• Lead the creation and execution of product roadmaps that drive innovation and competitive advantage.
• Identify market trends, emerging technologies, and customer insights to inform product development decisions and drive innovation.
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research to guide product differentiation and positioning strategies.
• Conduct performance analysis and implement data-driven improvements.
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that meet market demands and customer needs.
• Implement processes and tools to streamline product development workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Regularly review product metrics, conduct performance analysis, and implement data-driven improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments, including marketing, sales, customer success, and engineering, to ensure alignment and integration of product development efforts.
• Champion cross-functional teamwork and communication to drive successful product launches and enhancements.
• Provide regular updates to senior management, stakeholders, and customers on product status, milestones, and future plans.
• Manage product budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Direct and mentor a team of product managers, data scientists, designers, and developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
• Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members to drive performance and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in product management, with a strong SaaS background.
• 5+ years of experience in a people management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing SaaS product portfolios.
• Proven track record of success in product development and management roles, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards a common goal.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
