An international client with operations in the UK and Indonesia is looking for a Virtual Assistant to support the financial team of accountants with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be an organised, proactive, and highly efficient individual capable of taking initiative and focusing on coordinating and tracking of the financial processes. This opportunity is available to a South African citizen working fully remotely between 2 5 hours per day. Two of these hours have to be first thing in the morning to liaise with team members in other time zones, the rest can be flexible.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining trackers and ensuring supporting documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements) are uploaded and stored correctly as proof of transactions.
Preparing and issuing invoices to clients that are already templated (e.g. consulting fees).
Coordinating payment runs, collating approvals, and ensuring payments are released on time, i.e. track and prompt signoffs.
Submitting expense reimbursements and keeping the associated spreadsheets accurate.
Following up with the accountants, responding to their queries, and making sure deadlines are met.
Requirements
Grade 12
Experience working as a virtual assistant or fully remotely for at least 2 solid years.
Proven experience as a personal assistant, project assistant or financial assistant.
Strong understanding of business operations, finance, and team collaboration.
Proactive selfstarter with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
Exceptional organisational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
An early bird – able to work approximately 2 hours in the early morning (South African time), with flexibility for the rest of the day.
Highly accountable, detailoriented, and takes pride in delivering results.
Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Strong problemsolving skills and a solutionoriented mindset.
