Job description

Our client is a wellestablished Australian business services company known for providing tailored solutions and operational support to its partners.

They are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Accounts Officer to join their remote team and support the finance function.

About the Role

As an Accounts Officer, you’ll play a key role in managing accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting support. You’ll collaborate with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and enter AP invoices, creditadjustment notes, and payments.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and perform bankcredit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare payment files, reimbursements, and remittances.
  • Maintain AP records, databases, and filing systems securely.
  • Resolve AP queries and discrepancies with professionalism.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and suppliers to improve systems and workflows.
  • Support monthend close, stock management, and reporting.
  • Provide assistance to the Accountant and Admin teams when needed.
    • Requirements

      • Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
      • Solid knowledge of endtoend Accounts Payable processes.
      • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
      • Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions) and accounting systems.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
      • Strong attention to detail, organisational and timemanagement skills.
        • Preferred Experience
          • Prior Australian AP experience (required).
          • Experience in stock management (preferred).
          • Familiarity with Jim2 or similar accounting systems.
          • Intermediate–advanced MS Office and accounting software use.
