Senior Functional Consultant (Logistics), SAP

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of our Global Professional Services (GPS) group, the Senior Functional Consultant will need to possess deep industry experience in various functional domains, & Solution design and delivery in SAP ECC environments. Heshe is expected to partner with existing internal and external subject matter experts in various technologies and have an extensive background and experience in SAP solution architecture.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

§ Serving as a Trusted Senior Consultant to our Clients by providing functional SAP ECC ERP expertise and research, advisory and implementation services, innovative business solutions, and Strategic Planning Engagements

§ Provide outstanding client service and help them obtain maximum value from their ERP investment in alignment with the established GPS framework

§ Work with offshore teams and client IT staff and review business requirements, research solution alternatives, and create professional, highquality deliverables

§ Provide subject matter expertise with respect to SAP ECC applications, configuration driven, scalable and manageable solutions. Provide support to other IT staff in highpriority situations and dedicated to issue resolution

§ Provide presales consulting assistance with SAP ECC application questions during the sales cycle

§ Develop a macro view of current and future state of business and technology architecture that is well connected with business strategy

§ Provide leadership in developing standards, functional governance, functional design patterns and IT best practices.

§ Develop and demonstrate subject matter expertise in various functional areas of ECC, including the creation and delivery of presentations and white papers to internal and external stakeholders

§ Evaluate new technologies and identify the benefit case for using new technologies

§ Provide thought leadership to help guide development of IT systems solutions that are strategically aligned to the overall architecture vision of clients

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Location

This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in Japan

Desired QualificationsSkills

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP functional consulting
• Strong understanding of logistics functional domains (MM, SD, PP) & confidence in discussing technology concepts, tradeoffs, and opportunities in the field of ECC, S4HANA, ABAP, Basis, Security, etc.
• Working knowledge of Interfaces (IDOCS, RFC, EDI, WebRest Services, etc.) with other SAP and nonSAP systems and middleware technologies
• Configuration knowledge in other SAP domains like FICO would be a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, customer facing & interpersonal effectiveness with exceptional ability to successfully influence cross functional team stakeholders without formal authority
• Demonstrated experience building solutions for complex or ambiguous areas
