Job description

The Medical Education Clinical Program Manager is responsible for leading the planning, content development, and execution of Medical Education programs across Penumbra’s product lines and applicable therapies by driving timely execution of logistics and onsite management without onsite supervision. This role blends strategic oversight of medical education logistics with the delivery of clinically relevant training experiences. The Manager ensures all programs comply with regulatory and compliance standards while collaborating with crossfunctional stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Faculty, and thirdparty vendors to deliver highimpact education for healthcare professionals (HCPs).

As this role focuses heavily on supporting our Neurovascular business, candidates with experience or a background in the Neurovascular space are preferred.
What You’ll Work On
• Collaborate regularly with the Medical Education Director, Program Managers, and Operations Manager to ensure that the programs execution and process implementation are aligned with overall Medical Education strategy.
• Partner with faculty, vendors, and Sales to design and execute impactful Medical Education programs tailored to the respective vascular or neurovascular field.
• Partner with product teams to align education with clinical messaging and product strategy.
• Select, manage, train, and develop staff. Establish objectives and assignments and provide ongoing feedback through performance reviews and development plans.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior Medical Education team members or other department members involved in educational delivery, ensuring consistent training quality and professional development.
• Lead all aspects of program planning to execution, including agenda and content creation, attendee registration, logistics coordination, and onsite support for programs such as CE programming, workshops, case observations, and other nationalregional educational events.
• Coordinate all logistics, including agenda creation, site selection, travel, registration, and material preparation.
• Represent Penumbra onsite during events and lead onsite staff when applicable.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with HCPs and faculty.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and manage clinically relevant educational content and materials.
• Maintain uptodate knowledge of disease states, products, and evolving clinical practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous process improvement.
• Evaluate program success through feedback and metrics.
• Recommend and implement improvements to elevate learning experience and outcomes.
• Attend tradeshows and conferences as needed.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
• Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Perform other workrelated duties as assigned
What You Contribute
• Bachelors degree with 5+ years of clinical or medical education experience in the medical device industry preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong clinical and disease state knowledge desired, with enthusiasm for expanding knowledge into new therapeutic areas.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communicator across clinical and nonclinical audiences.
• Able to independently manage complex programs and prioritize competing demands.
• Previous experience managing a team is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Selfmotivated, adaptable, and able to lead in fastpaced environments
• Able to effectively interact with diverse healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
Working Conditions
General office and clinical environments. Business travel up to 70% (domestic), including weekends. Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
Annual Base Salary Range: $150,000 $190,000
We offer a competitive compensation package plus a benefits and sales incentive program. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as sales territory, qualifications, skill level, and competencies.
