DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

The Remote Connectivity Team, within the ‘End User Computing’ division, is responsible for all access to the banks’ infrastructure from remote locations outside of the DB offices.  The Remote Connectivity product is currently underpinned by the vendor solution, Zscaler.

Zscaler, in both of its ZPA & ZIA flavours, is integrated into all of the available platform types within DB, providing end users with office level connectivity when working remotely.

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, intake of new work, backlog maintenance, tracking, reporting, and successful delivery of these products.  They face off to internal clients and stakeholders, maintain vendor relationships, are aware of the direction of travel of their industry, understand the TCO of their products, and work with other Product Managers to drive a cohesive technical strategy for our end users. The Product Manager is also the IT Application Owner of the product, maintaining the product from compliance and security perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Work with Engineering, CSMs and Operations to estimate the effort and cost to deliver requirements.
  • Make technical decisions. Define and publicize a roadmap based around their products and business requirements.
  • Monitor work streams and keep stakeholders apprised of progress.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and work with procurement and purchasing to enact contracts.

Skills

  • 5 years’ experience in a related role (Product Manager, Application Owner, Platform Architect, Senior Engineer, Project Manager) in a global, enterprise-scale environment, preferably in the Financial Services industry.
  • Direct in-depth experience with Remote Connectivity technologies, ideally Zscaler, with the ability to describe its function, licensing options, and the direction of the industry.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and SLA performance.
  • Exceptional written and oral English skills, including the ability to communicate technical.information to a non-technical audience and with executive levels.
  • Relationship management skills .
  • A solid understanding of Agile concepts and best practices.
